Indiantelevision.com: Here is an interview with Saumit Nanavati, the president of Sydus Mobile, a Singapore-based mobile music company founded in 2002. Last year, Sydus tied up with Virgin Radio to provide MobileRadio, which is claimed to be the world’s first 3G radio service. In an interview to Indiantelevision.com, Nanavati talks about the future of mobile music and where India fits in the scheme of things.
In reponse to a question, Nanavati said, “Indian users are early adopters of mobile phone-related technologies and the phenomenon of listening to radio on mobile phones has already been tried and is on the rise in the country. In fact, Indian users are amongst the top six users of Sydus’ MobileRadio technology for Virgin Radio UK’s service.”
I think if one can provide cricket commentary on mobile, that could catapult mobile radio into a different level in India.
