Google has added to its mobile web arsenal with the new Google Mobile News. Top stories of the day are presented in a format suitable for your PDA or phone and like everything else Google it is fast and works well. To get started visit the Google Home Page from your mobile device, which should be detected as a mobile device with a small screen. If it’s not detected as such (and my Treo wasn’t) then don’t fret. Select preferences and make sure you have Google pages set to display in PDA mode. This takes you to a mobile formatted home page where you can access the Mobile News and Gmail pages. Note that the preferences set up requires Java which works fine in the new Opera Mobile beta for Windows Mobile devices.
