Marc Orchant and James Kendrick are back with a look at the past week’s big news in the Tabletscape.  Marc explains about his new gig blogging for ZDNet and James appears on Forbes.  We take a good look at the UI implications behind the latest Apple patent applications and we have a discussion about the announcement about the new Ultra-Mobile Lifestyle PCs.  Verizon now allows tethering a cell phone to those cool mini-Tablet PCs like the Motion LS800.  Rob Bushway provides us with a couple of topics for the show and we announce the winners of Michael Linenberger’s books for the contest we mentioned on the last show.  Thanks to everyone who contributed an entry and congratulations to the following winners (we’ll be contacting you by email shortly):

Seize the Work Day winners:

  • Steve Yalisove
  • Michael Venini
  • Brad Bohannon

Total Workday Control winners:

  • Matt Hollingsworth
  • Chris Kelley
  • Aaron Ebata

Enjoy the show and let us know what you think.

Special thanks to Tiedye Keith for the great song "Vulnerable" with vocals by Tony Lindsay of Santana.

  1. Love the show. Cant wait for those lifestyle pc’s to get here. I’m using my tablet, a Motion slate, for just those kinds of things, web browsing, email, media playback. I’ve been eyeing the mini-Motion 800 since I wanted something even smaller. But now I’ll probably wait a bit and see what comes down the pipe.

Sad to see Marc go over to ZDNet blogs though. No full text feeds, no subscription for me :(
