The cool Acer C200 Tablet PC with the unique sliding hinge has been officially released in the US. Acer has released two models, one with a Celeron processor and the other with a 2 GHz Pentium M. The high-end model has a 100 GB hard drive, nVidia GeForce Go 6200, fingerprint sensor, 1 GB memory, dual layer DVD drive, 4 in 1 card reader, WiFi (b/g), gigabit LAN, two batteries (3 cell and 6 cell for a combined 5+ hours of run time), and a 12 inch screen running at XGA. $1899.

Interestingly, the C200 appeared on the TigerDirect site in early November but has since been removed. I played with an early model of the C200 a few weeks back and that sliding hinge is tres cool.
