Martin Remakes FCC
MediaChannel.org reports that FCC Chairman Kevin Martin has made wholesale changes at the bureau, and one of the possible impact of the moves could be delay in “the $17.6 billion sale of Adelphia Communications Corp. to Time Warner Inc. and Comcast Corp.” (Thanks Ward)

I did not expect this item to make it in the next generation Om malik Blog. Adelphi Communication has been through bankruptcy. Its founder has been thoroughly disgraced. I have no idea where does the price tag of $17.6 billion VCome from. This high a price tag is not applicable even to the biggest fiber optic Company Global Crossing. Bank ruptcy court fixed a price of less than $100 Million for it despite the fact that the people who signed the reorganization plan of the Global Crossing management agreed to a sum of $900 Millions for it. Is Om malik going to hold my comments for moderation? Thatr is not the face of next benration broadband.
