I’d be beating down John Paczkowski’s door. In fact, I’d offer him both positions. No disrespect to Tom or Om, but Good Morning Silicon Valley is really one of the best technology news sites around. Paczkowski is a great writer and an astute observer of tech. I find his insights invaluable and his irrevence and humor enormously enjoyable.

Gotta agree with Dave on this one. GMSV is a must-read if you're in technology. My guess is it won't be long before the NYT, the WSJ, or even the FT snag Paczkowski. He's got a great style, lots of interesting opinions and he doesn't take BS from anyone. Such a refreshing break from the Markoffs and Mossbergers of the world. GMSV and Om are really the only two tech news outlets I pay attention to anymore.

I'm touched, Om, thanks. And, um, Alex, you'll be hearing from me...

That said, SVW is a great blog, and Tom does great work.

Om, thanks for the mention but I already have a job and who would want to drag themselves all the way down to Sunnyvale every day? Have you been there? It's almost San Jose! Brrr! Plus the Yahoo campus is packed to the gills and they are trying to squeeze 700 more jobs in there. If Yahoo opened an SF campus that would give them a significant advantage over their rivals. imho.

Alternatively, drop me a resume if you're interested in any of the positions above. The team is awesome, the project is treated as start-up, you get to build a brand new site from ground zero, and Yahoo! campus in Sunnyvale has free espressos.
