Windows Treo on Monday?

Om Malik, Friday, September 23, 2005 at 1:52 PM PT Comments (4)

Palm is hosting a big event on Monday which will include Ed Colligan, Palm president and chief executive officer; Bill Gates, Microsoft chairman and chief software architect; and Denny Strigl, president and chief executive officer of Verizon Wireless. Add those three names together and to me it adds up to the much rumored Treo 700 powered by Windows Mobile. With Access now owning the Palm OS, this might be the time for Palm to switch gears and become yet another Windows Mobile device maker. The event is at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco beginning at 9 a.m. PDT.

Yes, they are going to launch it and probably (my thinking), is that they are looking to go international with Treo this time…(hear India…)

The palm page is doing a strange reloading thing right now with what is clearly a Windows-powered Treo.
