Google WiFi, more than Bay Area

My dear friend James Enck who lives in London reports that he downloaded the Google WiFi Secure Access client in London, and is able to log on to it from many different locations in the city.

> I’m now at the venue for Carriers’ World in the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, and am again connected to the Google Secure Access product through a Swisscom Eurospot hotspot. Hmmm… Looks like the definition of “Bay Area” is very broad…A friend in Scandinavia has also downloaded the product and say he hasn’t been able to use it. Maybe this is just a fluke unique to me, but it works nevertheless.

Anyone outside of Bay Area being able to use the Google VPN? Let me know.

The company spokesperson Nate Tyler stated “Google WiFi is a community outreach program to offer free wireless access in areas near our headquarters.
