Sorry for that, Gabe. The links were breaking the page in IE and Firefox because they don't use / as a break like they are supposed to. I thought WordPress allowed HTML in comments, but apparently it doesn't, which is why it was using the shortened version. :(

Possibly a contraction of:
"Learning to program has no more to do with designing interactive software than learning to touch-type has to do with writing poetry." - Ted Nelson, The Art of Human-Computer Interface Design, 1990

Gabe: Try www.snipurl.com to shorten long URLs. I use it a lot for blog posts, and for e-mail to keep links from getting broken by line-wrapping.

Just wanted to note that someone edited my comment to shorten the links, but in the process destroyed them. Sorry that they made the screen very wide, but, well, they also conveyed some useful info.

'code is poetry' is a turn of phrase that goes back years and years. I'm guessing 82 or so??? I'm not sure where it originated but it certainly wasn't Wordpress unless they've been around for 20 years.
