Finally, Global IP Sound has issued a press release confirming that Google Talk is using its codec.

The press release continues the age old tradition - 200 million downloads. I only hope Google doesn’t think it has to do this as well.

It says that Google has adopted GIPS technology. Some people seem to think it is their VoiceEngine. But Pulver indicated in his blog that they are using only the codec. I suppose that the confusion will clear up over a period of time.

wtf …it was always thr when u saw “about” in GTalk by right-clicking on the icon in the taskbar and clicking about. Global IP sound’s name is mentioned in thr.
