I first mentioned the upcoming Plantronics Pulsar 590 Bluetooth stereo headset last month because the company claimed the Pulsar will be the first hi-fidelity headphones that operate wirelessly and can double as a cell phone headset with a touch of a button.  Due to appear in October, AP writer Ron Harris has been playing with the Pulsar 590 and Yahoo News has published his review.  He seems to love the audio quality the Pulsar reproduces and absolutely loves the unit.

In October, Plantronics Inc. will start selling the Pulsar 590, a pair of rechargeable Bluetooth-enabled headphones. The company sent me a pair to try and suddenly I can’t live without them.

They offer nice styling and killer sound quality extended over a range of about 50 feet from a small transmitter that can be connected to the miniplug audio output jack of any device.

It sounds like the Plantronics has done wireless right with the Pulsar 590.  I gotta get a review unit!
