For Vocaltec, the end is near as it gives 70 the pink slip

Thomas Hirsch send me this link which apparently says that Vocaltec, which has been in bit of trouble laid off 70 of its 100 employees. The VoIP pioneer has fallen on hard times, and still waiting for its white knight. There was some talk of Vonage-Vocaltec deal. If you can read hebrew, then perhaps be kind enough to share the translation with us. Also reports that the company got a million dollars in bridge funding from one of their customers, Deutsche Telekom of Germany.

VocalTec CEO Elon Ganor said, “We are involved in discussions regarding several potential M&A transactions and are simultaneously in the preliminary due diligence stage of a potential business combination with another company. In addition, we are also considering a bidding process.”
