Reason is a complete music creation and mixing application that uses realistic looking components that can be controlled just like the real world equivalents.  There are sliders, knobs, wires and other switches that can be combined in any way the user wants to control their custom studio.  Colin Walker realized after a couple of people mentioned it on their blogs that the Tablet PC with the pen interface would be perfect for running Reason and controlling it much like the real hardware it simulates.  He has written up his experience using Reason on his Acer C111 and it certainly does look cool.
