In a ruling that shows how logic is never used in copyright infringement court proceedings, Stephen Cooper was found guilty of copyright infringement in Federal Court in Australia.  Cooper didn’t host pirated music recordings on his site but the court ruled he was guilty for posting hyperlinks to sites that hosted such music.  Chilling, chilling, chilling.  Be careful who you link to, especially in Australia.  Cooper’s ISP was also found guilty for hosting his site that linked to pirate music sites.  If logic doesn’t prevail this will spread like a bad disease throughout the rest of the civilized world.
