Everybody has at least one of those tasks that makes you cringe every time you see it in your TODO list.  It may be that the task is not defined very well and you can’t get your head around what you need to do to get it done, or just something that you really don’t like to do.  The result is the same for both cases, it sits on your TODO list and you cringe every time you go over your list and see it sitting there.  Merlin Mann has a nice article about dealing with cringe tasks and getting them off your plate on his productivity site, 43 Folders.  Merlin has a determined a good way to break these cringe-inducing tasks into manageable chunks so you can banish them from your TODO list forever.  The article is worth a read, as his the whole site.  Marcus Vorwaller of Best Tool for the Job has summed up Merlin’s advice in a nice chart on his site.
