Skype No Good For Conference Calls

Nick Aster: Skype dials through ok, but when it comes time to use their dial-pad to enter the conference code, it fails to work about 50% of the time. Sometimes it’s a total loss, as in the 20+ times I tried to get it to work tonight. I think this bug is related to the length of the tones the dial pad sends.

  • I’ve done several recent conf calls with Skype to China and have had no real issues (except occassional static). Overall it’s worked pretty well.

  • Indeed the dialpad rarely works for conference-calls. Have reported this issue, yet there has been to-date neither a response to the problem nor a visible resolution!
