Evan Koblentz has been researching PDAs for several years and has published a comprehensive and interesting look at The Evolution of the PDA.  Evan has covered it all from the very first attempts at PDAs from HP and Casio and has chronicled the history of the little PDA in great detail.  There are lots of photos of some long forgotten devices that gadget freaks will get all mushy-eyed over so check it out.  Remember this one?

  1. Brings back memories alright. They were more like proper pc’s than Pda? My final High School drafting project was a car dashboard (you could choose what to design then had to do ortho & isometric drawings of it). I programmed one of these to simulate the digital car status/fault display that I designed into the instrument display. Way ahead of idrive :-)
