Verizon Fiber in SoCal

Verizon has started expanding its FTTP/FiOS network in California and present it is laying fiber in Ventura county, Adelanto, Apple Valley, Bermuda Dunes, Camarillo, Chino, Desert Hot Springs, Hermosa Beach, Indio, La Quinta, Chino Hills, Ontario, Palm Springs, Perris, Lake Elsinore, Temecula, Redondo Beach and Victorville. More cities to go online next year, but in some places, consumers can order their FiOS and Fries. Verizon says it has deployed 8 million feet, or 1,500 miles, of fiber- optic cable in Southern California as part of the FTTP project. A 1000 contractors are on the job. more here

Good timing. I was just on the Verizon site trying to find out if I could get FiOS to my new building.

The old phone number returned nil, so I tried to find a list of cities to see if it’s even available here. No luck in my search. Argh!
