It seems the first techADDICTION slap that Kevin and I dropped on eReader for the lack of a VGA version on the Pocket PC had a bigger effect than we intended.  MobileRead is reporting a new version of eReader for the Pocket PC that has a number of additional features including native VGA support in both portrait and landscape orientation.  This is welcome news and as we stated on the podcast long overdue.  The download link takes you to Pocket Gear for download and there is no information concerning an upgrade policy from eReader regarding the new version but in the past upgrades have usually been free for registered users.

  1. Ah…behold the power of the “techADDICTION slap”! This is fantastic news. In addition, it appears the current eReader Pro owners can upgrade at no charge based on this info from the ReadMe file in the download:

    “***NOTE FOR PRO USERS***
If you have previously purchased eReader Pro, don’t worry you have a registration number available in your account. Just log into your account and look on your account page. Thanks!” kct
