Microsoft has released the final version 7.0 of the MSN Messenger chat program and are taking Skype on with some of the new features in Messenger.  The ability to make video calls to other Messenger users is now as simple as hooking up a webcam and firing up the program.  Video can be in a small window or run full screen, to let you get up close to your callers.  Microsoft intends to add a feature in the next few months to allow Messenger users to send messages to mobile phones.
