Skype and wireless broadband operator Broadreach announced today a free service for Skype users at over 350 hotspot locations in Britain.  Skype users will be able to place calls for free while using Skype which will now automatically log onto the hotspot when the application is launched. This announcement comes only two weeks after Skype announced an arrangement with Motorola to preload Skype software on Motorola’s cell phones with WiFi capabilities.  This can only be the beginning of some very good things from Skype for road warriors who are beginning to use the popular VoIP service in increasing numbers.

  1. Skype is expanding SO fast. It seems like there is a Skype annoucement every day, which is good as I love Skype. Without Skype I would be broke from long distance calls.
