OpenOffice keeps getting better and better and is becoming a serious contender in the office suite segment. A preview version of the next major version 2.0 is available for download and has a big list of  new goodies for the serious user.   A complete list of new features and fixes is available on the OpenOffice website and the download can be accessed here.  Note this is a snapshot build and likely contains bugs but if you want to try it out then go ahead.

  1. For the first time Openoffice can compete against microsoft. Having the microsoft product is never a bad thing but if you do not then Openoffice is for. It include so many great features like Active-X controlers and word art.
