EthertouchA company in New Jersey, EtherTouch, has recently made technology available to OEMs to produce 3D touch screens for mobile devices.  The EtherTouch screen has all electronics embedded in the screen by design so nothing is added to the appearance of the screen, which can be as large as a flat screen LCD or as small as the screen on a mobile phone.  The screen senses not only the standard X,Y movement of the stylus but also the distance from the screen.  Applications for this technology come to mind such as CAD work or 3D gaming.  No word on when OEMs might start using the technology nor on pricing.
