Superdistribution might be making a come back. It is essentially a mobile P2P network where content is distributed by subscribers who become nodes in the network and forward content to one another. It became popular last year, but hasn’t really taken off due to no real business model, or DRM infrastructure was inadequate. Now there is news that Andover-based Chaoticom is going to deploy the technology with Telenor, one of Norway’s largest operators. Stay tuned for further details.
