Google has debuted their attractive Google Maps beta site and I have to admit it looks really good.  The maps are extremely attractive and easier to use than any other map site I’ve seen.  What sets GM apart are two things: the maps are interactive meaning you can drag them around with your mouse and zoom in and out at will and; the search functions are really easy to use.  You can type in information as detailed as you want such as:

1600 pennsylvania ave, washington, dc

or as broad as you want such as :

good pizza in seattle

Very nice first try for Google on this one.  Did I mention the maps look really nice, too?

  1. I really, really like the little touches they took. Like the drop shadows on the flags and the info bubbles, very cool.
