The prevalence of good information on the internet and how accessible this wealth of knowledge is to the end user makes a good information manager a very important tool.  I have written in the past of my method for using OneNote to capture information but there are also a number of dedicated information gatherers that serve a useful purpose.  Marc Orchant of The Tablet PC Weblog is in the middle of a good series of articles that covers four of the top contenders in this category and he is writing an article on each one.  His overview of the genre is a good place to start and he has written the first two reviews in the series.  Here are the links:
