An eagle eyed reader pointed this out to me. The recent consolidation of mid & senior level managers has thinned the ranks and has brought focus on Sureel Choksi Executive Vice President of Services is now in charge of three previously separate groups run by different folks. He is in charge of softswitch (his previous responsibility), IP & data service (VP departed) and Infrastructure. That’s a lot of responsibility. Plus he is showing up in a lot of press interviews. I guess the company must be trying to position him as the face of the company and possible top job candidate. Choksi worked at TeleSoft, a VC firm, before joining Level 3 in 1997.
