BroadbandReports: With the FCC seemingly deregulating the incumbents and eliminating independent and CLEC competition from broadband, those companies are looking for alternatives to the incumbent networks. Covad is testing a Nokia DSLAM-based POTS technology they hope could provide them with a UNE-P alternative. IP Wireless’s modem is another option, according to EE Times!
