The FCC today approved high speed Internet services on commercial flights in the US.  The move is not surprising as business travelers have been clamoring for the service.  Of course, the success of any venture springing up out of this ruling will depend squarely on the pricing the airlines offer consumers for the service.  On a similar note the FCC also voted to call for public opinion on allowing in-flight cell phone use, which is currently banned.  At issue is whether travelers want to be trapped on a flight surrounded by people having those loud cell phone conversations.
