Nearly six months after I predicted that there would be a surge in interest in desktop search, we are being inundated by desktop search tools. I have always love X1 and Blinkx, and have been waiting for Kozoru, news reports and blog chatter says that Yahoo, Microsoft, Ask Jeeves and AOL are all planning their own variations on desktop search. Google already is in this space. I am not sure if this is of any importance to us Apple users, but we have to wait for Tiger before we can get desktop search.
