Aciedgenote2 I am one of those people who no longer use a desktop computer and instead use a high-powered notebook for my main system.  If you are looking for a true desktop replacement then you should check out the ACI Edgenote.    The Edgenote has a 17" glassview screen that is viewable from any angle and is driven by the NVIDIA Go 6800 with 256 MB of DDR2 memory.  Gaming should be awesome with those graphics and the notebook has four speakers plus subwoofer integrated into the system.  One of the most unique options on the Edgenote allows you to replace the optical drive in the modular bay with a second hard disk identical to the main drive and make them a RAID 0 or RAID 1 array.  The Edgenote starts at $1950 on the ACI website.  Full specs after the jump.

This is the same unit (made by Clevo) rebranded by SagerNotebooks and Alienware.
      For about the same price.

    2. Thanks for the info. I thought it looked familiar but couldn’t verify that.
