One of the easiest and most overlooked things you can do with OneNote is to capture images from your screen directly into a OneNote side note. To do so, right-click the OneNote program icon in the notification area at the far right of the Microsoft Windows taskbar, and then click Insert Screen Clipping on the shortcut menu. Then drag your pointer across the item you want to add to your notes.  The captured image will appear in a new side note along with a convenient note that indicates where the image came from.  This is especially useful for capturing something you want to save when you are web browsing as you not only get the image but the details of where and when you captured it along with the hyperlink to navigate back there if you need to in the future.
