Vodafone has launched its pan European 3G Network, that cost the company a whopping $129 billion. There is content, and also ten odd handsets from Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and Sharp.

I find $129B hard to swallow. Even if half of that is spectrum cost, $65B adds up to at least 250,000 new base stations, or > 500,000 upgraded base stations, or some mixture of both. Did they spend some insane ammount of money on content?
