HeaderhelloGoogle is the most active company I’ve ever seen. It seems every day brings us something new from the search engine giant. Earlier this week they unveiled the beta of Google Desktop, an extension of the Google web search that indexes and searches every file on your local computer. Today saw the quiet unveiling of the Hello photo sharing service. Hello combines photo sharing with a chat engine that lets you discuss shared photos with family and friends. This interesting service is free and comes from the Picasa people who became a part of Google earlier this year.Picasa is a great free image database program that everybody should be using, and the Hello service integrates with Picasa if you have it installed. Hello also integrates with Blogger blogs which is not surprising since Google bought Blogger, too. Hello is worth checking out.

I stumbled on to Hello when I set up a blog through Blogger. Google’s business plan is subtle but effective as they continue to offer one service that leads you to another related or supporting service they have. I use Hello for all of my photo publishing on my Blogger site…they’ve made the integration seamless and simple!
