Jbl_onstageThe iPod is such a good portable music player that owners are always looking for a good set of speakers for listening without headphones at home or on the road. The Altec Lansing inMotion speakers that I use have great sound in a highly portable form. Bose recently added another set of speakers with the announcement of their SoundDock unit that brings the famous Bose sound to the iPod, although at a premium price. The Apple store is now offering a new speaker solution for iPod owners from JBL, the JBL On Stage. The On Stage is priced between the inMotion and the SoundDock and is very similar to the other two devices in function. All of the speakers will dock the iPod and connect to your computer for syncing and charging. The On Stage has a unique circular form roughly the size of a plate. Just $199 at the Apple Store, the JBL On Stage is made by Harman Multimedia.
