DingoTel got the Telco

Andy points to a new VoIP P2P service called DingoTel which from the looks of it is taking a crack at Skype’s business. Apparently it is a server less model, and is seemingly better than Skype.

The DingoTel™ Network allows users to connect directly to one another without going through a central server. Unlike other programs that use similar technology, DingoTel™ does not use your computer’s resources for facilitating other people’s calls.

It seems to be more secure idea, at least in theory. Skype’s insecurities are a big issue, though not many people like to talk about them except Popular Telephony’s founder Dmitry Goroshevsky who got into it in a chatearlier this year.

As I told Andy, Dingo has definitely been very cryptic about how their technology works and at the same time taking pot shots at Skype. I sent them an email two days ago with no response.
