Andrew Burke has been thinking about the evolution of mobile devices and has “developed” a conceptual operating system called the Savi OS. Taking a cue from the Notepad function on the Apple Newton, Andrew is expanding that functionality to adapt it to modern devices. While it’s entirely conceptual at this stage, Andrew has some very interesting points and you should take a look at his Savi OS.His vision of the “perfect” OS has everything based on a time line that is automatically stamped when something happens on the device, like receiving an email or visiting a web site. Everything can then be searched not only in conventional ways but also from a standpoint of when something happened. He’s put quite a lot of thought into this and it’s a very interesting concept that I think is worth exploring.
