BosesounddockAltec Lansing was the first to produce some really nice speakers for the iPod with integrated dock, both their first and second generation speakers. The Altec Lansing speakers produce nice sound but are really designed for mobile use with the speakers folding down into the dock for easy transport. I was wondering when some OEM would make a dock and speaker combo for the home and should have known it would be Bose. The Bose SoundDock has shown up at the Apple Expo in Paris and I’ll bet they sound as good as other Bose speaker systems. The SoundDock has an IR remote control and reportedly has really good bass sound even though it lacks a subwoofer. No price information is available yet but, it IS a Bose. Thanks to Geekzone for the information.
