&lt;p&gt;Re: Nextel&#039;s ants on light poles: This low RC microcell acts like hardwired fiber repeaters.  Our trial in Chicago went very well.  The best thing about this network solution is that, assuming we deploy a wide enough band antenna, we&#039;ll be able to braodcast any variety of technology over these mini networks.  It also means that associated component manf&#039;r&#039;s wil enjoy some booming business in the years to come.  Now if the tech sector could PLEASE recover...&lt;/p&gt;
