P2P killed the Radio Star

One of the biggest problems with ITunes is that despite easy downloads, one finds it difficult to get recommendations on songs, especially if you don’t like mainstream crap. But no more, thanks to new P2P tools like AudioScrobbler. Song Buddy, Music Plasma, and Music Mobs. Now I can listen to cool MP3 thanks to recommendations from other musically inclined people. David Smith turned me onto Tom Coates and Clay Shirky. They have covered this topic in greater detail and hopefully you get to read their stiff. I am using Audioscrobbler with ITunes and lets just say it is wicked cool. I know I am late to the game, but still this is pretty exciting stuff.
