They feel that the recent decision by Sony to pull the plug on the Clie is a clear indication that company’s bold digital vision is proving to be a nightmare. is it really? After all between miniscule profits in its PDA division pale in comparison with the recent strength of its phone business. Symbian clearly is a better OS for phones. Phones, rather smart phones are a growth market, everywhere except US, where some people are still clinging on to the age old notion of a PDA. Between Sony PSP and the Sony Ericsson Smart Phones, who needs a Clie. C/Net thinks that the company is fighting on many fronts and is going to lose. To whom? HP or a Dell? Apple, yes, but to the other jokers…. please!
