Esme over at Muniwireless has an expose of the latest attempts by the billing-roaming mafia to suck revenues out of Wi-Fi.

She points out, that “what’s hysterical about it all is that the same Nomadix CTO who last year proclaimed hotels would be giving Wi-Fi away for free, is now part of an alliance to push billing and roaming. if so many locations are giving Wi-Fi away as a complimentary service, what are Wireless WorkZone Alliance and RoamPoint trying to accomplish?
