BellSouth is talking to Telefonica about some of its Latin American mobile assets. Atlanta-based local phone company is looking for about $5.5B-$6.0B.  Some extra dinero for the AT&T Wireless buyout? Earlier SBC decide to get rid of some lines to raise some cash. Clearly Vodafone/Verizon combo made them overpay for AT&T Wirelessand now they got to scramble to raise cash!
