Thrice as many HotSpot Users.

Gartner, a research group, predicts that the number of hot spot users worldwide will triple in 2004, totalling 30 million - up from 9.3 million users in 2003. The reason is that by By the end of 2004, more than 50 percent of professional notebooks will have wireless LAN (WLAN) capability. While this might add up in costs for companies which don’t have agreements with service providers, I think this could be the best news for guys like IPass, T-Mobile, Cometa and a whole bunch of hot-spot providers. Meanwhile, cheapsters like me are always on the look out for a free hotspot.
