Anyway on a more serious note, the rise of the mobile phone has pretty much killed the business model for the once ubiquitous pay phone, reports Techdirt Corporate Intelligence: Techdirt Wireless pointing to this article. By end of March 2004, BellSouth will set more than 3400 payphones to the retirement home. Of course what if your phone service does not work, or you cannot afford a mobile phone? What to do then?
