Speed up Wi-Fi adoption, urges Intel COO

Rediff India is reporting that Intel Corporation chief operating officer Paul Otellini is advising Indian CEOs to accelerate Wi-Fi (wireless networking) adoption in order to continue its growth in a technology savvy global economy. Talk about a blatant sales push, for a technology which I understand brings no real productivity gain except for an office sans wires. I am all for that but given that it is going to cost a ton of money to secure the networks, and add enterprise level scalability, it is just the kind of crap Intel tries to spin.
