Space Holdings, the parent company of Space.com, has received $4 million in a new round of financing from four of its original investors: Blue Chip Venture Company, Gannett, SpaceVest and Venrock Associates. Today’s announcement follows one made by Space Holdings last month in which the company introduced three new senior executives to its management team.

Space Holdings will use proceeds of the financing to “expand its product lines, increase its sales and marketing efforts, and build out its integrated platform to reach a broader audience in consumer, professional and education markets.”
