Reuters, which has just launched a streaming video service called “Reuters Raw Video” on its site, will make it a subscription service within a week. “‘We want people to sample it and preview it because it’s not what they are used to seeing,’ [Rich Sabreen, executive VP and global head of Reuters Media] said, noting that the footage is not packaged with anchor commentary and is streamed with “natural sound” from the scene.”

The video is being streamed through TheFeedRoom (which has an excellent interface, by the way, perhaps the best among all these streaming video sites), and the subscription service will be powered by content commerce company Yaga.
