WSJ.com’s Subscribers Reaches the 679,000 Mark: Q4 electronic publishing revenues for parent Dow Jones were $77.9 million, down slightly from the prior year period–this figure includes WSJ.com, other network sites, Dow Jones Newswires and indexes as well. “Paid subscribers to The Wall Street Journal Online, the largest paid subscription news site on the web, continued to grow, reaching 679,000 as of December 31, 2002, up 8.5% over December 31, 2001.”

Average daily unique visitors to WSJ.com increased to 121,000, from 107,000 in the year-ago quarter. That means about 18 percent of WSJ.com paid susbcribers visit the site daily–an interesting and slightly low figure. Average daily unique visitors to the Journal Network (which includes other site such as the OpinionJournal.com and others) was 4.63 million.
