Viewsonic: talking in tongues

Viewsonic, the display company is going through a major makeover. The company has launched Smart displays, Tablet PCs and also some Media center XP-based machines. The company has decided to get into the desktop business as well. My how the CEO James Chu has changed his tune. Four years ago, he told me, “A monitor is the only piece of hardware that you see every day, every minute you work, and you see the brand name, ViewSonic. “We see the PC becoming less relevant, as it is hidden under the desk, and the screen is becoming bigger and bigger. The monitor is the most important piece of the PC.” Well tell that to Dell Mr. Chu, because Michael’s troops are going to bleed your company todeath.
